We have worked hard to re-create that experience for our guests by offering the Penthouse option at Sunset Retreat, enjoy time with your loved one on holiday’s the way you deserve to.
At Sunset Retreat we understand guests privacy and have provided The Penthouse option for those discerning travellers who look for more that the cookie cutter holiday. You and your partner can enjoy all of the space, full and private use of all the facilities at an affordable price.
We simply close off the remaining four bedrooms and allow you exclusive use of the Master Suite and of course the pool, grounds, pizza oven and fire pit. This option is suited for a couples getaway who enjoy their privacy and wish to chill out, enjoy a delicious meal and spend some quality time together.
Baby-mooners and those travelling with a baby will appreciate the freedom of in home catering and space to spread out plus the added bonus of a full laundry.
Take your pick from multiple outdoor areas to chase the sun or the breeze as you enjoy a good book or an afternoon siesta. If the plush mega couch is calling there is Foxtel, Netflix and all manner or stream services to snuggle up to your special someone and laze the day away. When life been hectic sometimes it the small pleasures that set us back on track.
The sparkling in-ground pool with built in seating and gradual beach style entry is perfect for afternoon cocktails and pre dinner drinks. Enjoy a delicious steak and a glass of red on the pool deck and spend some quality time together.
We are close to Airlie Beach and the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, yet in a quiet acreage setting so you are assured privacy and peace and quiet. Sunset Retreat was awarded The Master Builders Award in its category which is a testament to its design and lay out which we can assure you, will impress.
The breeze deck is the the perfect place to fire up the wood fired pizza oven for a long and lazy lunch and enjoy getting your Masterchef on with tasty creations. Why not finish off out by the fire pit?

We spent 6 nights appreciating the serenity of this magnificent house. It has such a warm & welcoming feel with spectacular views. We spent most of our days sitting on the patio, taking in the silence of the location and sipping on wine.
